Division W Training

Division W Training was a resounding success. The club offer training session was interactive, informative, and left all of us with exciting ideas on how to further our position. When I reflect upon it, I have been doing quite a bit of PR for Area 62, inviting guests to whichever club suits their schedule, and promoting Toastmasters to anyone I meet who compliments me on my articulate and (apparently) engaging speaking ability. Now that I have completed the necessary speeches required for Gold, I am thoroughly enjoying the experience of redoing my CC manual. During the evaluation workshop, I “Persuaded with Power”. The experience of speaking in front of a large audience in a lecture hall was positively enthralling!

ACG

Today marks an important milestone in my Toastmasters career: the completion of my ACG (Advanced Communicator Gold). Wow. Has it been 40 speeches already?

Conclusion

Breslau2

The conclusion of my Youth Leadership Program this week was met with a cornucopia of emotion. There was a vague tinge of relief at having met the goal, but the predominant feeling was of sadness. I am going to miss these kids! They have come so far, and my regard for them is a curious mixture of affection and pride!

New Years, New Goals, New Dreams

Goals for 2011

  • LOVE
  • Continue on my full detoxification of my body, mind, spirit
  • Be continually conscious of my health and diet / fully embrace a raw food lifestyle as much as possible
  • Continue with yoga and martial arts
  • Achieve my ACG (Advanced Communicator Gold) designation in Toastmasters

Happy 2011… and may the new year bless you with health, wealth, and wisdom… and hope.

“Hope is a state of mind, not of the world. Hope, in this deep and powerful sense, is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to invest in enterprises that are obviously heading for success, but rather an ability to work for something because it is good.” – Vaclav Havel
